Val Who?

Isn't it kind of ironic that Scooter Libby is being charged for having said "that's what reporters are saying". That's what reporters WERE saying! According to Andrea Mitchell, most reporters knew Wilson had a wife, now they'resaying that they didn't even know Joe had a wife. Go figure.

"I until that point didn't know Wilson had a wife." - Matt Cooper

"I didn't know Wilson had a wife." - Walter Pincus

"And among the other things, I didn't know he had a wife." - Scooter Libby

Questions:

1. Who told you Wilson was sent to Niger by his wife?

2. Who told you a bipartisan Senate panel concluded that Joe Wilson was lying when he denied that his wife had sent him to Niger?

3. Who was the first person to correct you on your assumption that Niger wasn't the same as Nigeria?

4. Who was the first person to tell you that Joe Wilson could not speak Nigerian?

In Closing Arguments, Fitzgerald Points the Finger at Dick Cheney:

"When Fitzgerald finished, Judge Walton felt the need to step in. “I’m going to give you another cautionary,” he told the jury. “The truth of whether someone could be harmed based upon the disclosure of people working in a covert capacity is not at issue in this case. Remember what I have told you several times. Mr. Libby is not charged with leaking classified information.”And with that, the day ended."

Good Question

So, the majority of our congressional leaders, including 81 Democrats, voted to authorize President Bush to use force to oust Saddam Hussien. Now some of those same politicians want to change thier vote and apologize for making a mistake. Making a mistake to go to war in Iraq? If they made a mistake then, why would we trust their judgement now.

"Why did a majority of Democratic senators — such as Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Harry Reid, Jay Rockefeller, and Chuck Schumer — vote to authorize a war with Iraq on Oct. 11, 2002? And why is this war now supposedly George Bush’s misfortune and not theirs?"
